The role involves managing teams, ensuring hygiene standards, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum Qualification: Matric / Grade 12
  2. Relevant tertiary (Degree, Certificate or Diploma) in Retail, Operations / Retail Management, or related field
  3. Experience: Proven experience in cleaning operations and staff supervision; managing multiple sites is an advantage.
  4. 3-5 years in cleaning operations, including team management.

Responsibilities

  1. Overseeing daily cleaning operations and supervising site teams..
  2. Ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and Tsebo quality standards
  3. Managing staffing levels, recruitment, and training.
  4. Monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Conducting site audits and resolving service issues.
  6. Managing budgets, stock, and equipment usage.
  7. Promoting sustainable cleaning practices and reducing waste.
  8. Driving innovation through new cleaning technologies and methods.
  9. Building strong client relationships and responding to service needs.
  10. Supporting Tsebo’s values through ethical leadership and operational excellence.
  11. Managing and maintaining accurate time and attendance records.
  12. Ensuring compliance with scheduling, rostering, and labour cost controls.
  13. Using workforce management systems to monitor attendance trends and resolve discrepancies.
  14. Ensure optimal management of labor to meet operational requirements.

Competencies

  1. Strong knowledge of cleaning processes and hygiene standards.
  2. Ability to interpret SLAs and conduct site audits.
  3. Strong MS Office skills and experience with workforce systems.
  4. Basic understanding of HR procedures and labour legislation.
  5. Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting tools.
  6. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  7. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
